Fife Mindfulness Group are running an 8-week course in Mindfulness from 1 February to 22 March 2010 at the Playfield Institute. This is free to all Fife employees within NHS Fife, the Voluntary Sector and Fife Council.

12 August 2008 HandsOnScotland Toolkit Post-Launch Evaluation Report completed
The post-launch evaluation report has been completed. The study involved over 60 frontline workers. Overall, the feedback was positive - workers' confidence increased and they reported feeling more supported in their work.

This is a website about low mood and depression in young adults, and was launched in June as part of Scottish National Depression Week 2008.
   
2 July 2008 New SIGN information on autism added to Leaflets & Booklets section
Two new booklets have been released by SIGN (Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network) on autism spectrum disorders. One booklet is for parents and carers, and the other is for young people.
   
16 June 2008 HMIe Services for Children Unit Inspection 2008
In October 2008, Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIe) – Services for Children Unit will
lead a specialist team of Inspectors to look at how good our child protection services are in Fife.
   
6 June 2008 Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland: Update
Consultation on the discussion document 'Towards a Mentally Flourishing Scotland: The Future of Mental Health Improvement in Scotland 2008-11' has recently finished. A summary report of the findings has now been published.

The HandsOnScotland website was launched a year ago. Over the past year there have been over 20,000 visitors to the site.
