Plans for future research projects at Playfield Institute include:
• |
Conducting a research project looking at the links between autobiographical memory & Solution Focused Brief Therapy (dependent on successful grant application). |
• |
Carrying out a follow-up to the “7 Habits of Successful Families” pilot with teenagers and parents. |
| • | Providing supervision in 2010 to a 3rd year St Andrews medical student for their research project. Details of the project are still to be finalised. |
| • | The possibility of future research on general mindfulness wellbeing outcomes, following the success of a “Mindful Movement” course run with CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service) staff. Future work is to be discussed further with the Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Research Group. |
| • | Using evidence from local needs assessments and evaluation studies to inform development of future services for children and young people. |
• |
Continuing to expand the research capacity by applying for external grants in conjunction with academic colleagues and frontline workers. |
| • | Developing and providing basic training in research methods for workers who are interested in conducting their own research. |
