Playfield Institute's remit is children and young people's mental health and wellbeing, and the Institute's rooms are primarily for use in this field. However, rooms can be booked for use by other departments and services, subject to availability.
There are a number of rooms that can be booked to host meetings, workshops, seminars, training events or conferences.
Departments can book the use of rooms either with or without facilitation. If no facilitation is required, the room will be free of charge. Please note that if this option is chosen, only the use of the room is provided - there will be no support provided by Institute staff. All arrangements relating to the use of the room must be undertaken by the department using the room. That includes the provision and setting up of any required equipment prior to the meeting. The department should arrange any refreshments or catering required, and the room must be left in its original arrangement. If a department does wish facilitation or support from Institute staff, then this must be notified at the time of booking and there will be a departmental cost cross charge in line with the charges below. Any department using a room must be mindful of other events and the clinical services that operate in the building.
For your convenience, for reasons of health and safety and to avoid disruption to other events and the clinical services which operate within the building, we provide an event facilitation support service for external agencies and organisations, at the charges detailed below:
