Introduction

There are many ways in which young people experience and deal with stress and it is important for workers to feel equipped with appropriate skills and techniques to support young people through stressful or difficult times. This workshop will introduce participants to practical ways of working with young people, on a one to one or group basis.

 

Aim

To provide frontline workers with a variety of tools and techniques to support young people to deal with stress in a positive way and to help them relax more.

Learning Outcomes

• Increased understanding of several tools and techniques which can be useful to support discussion on stress amongst young people.

• Enhanced capacity to support young people dealing with issues which may arise.

• Increased confidence in discussing stress and its effects with young people in a one-to-one or group setting.

Who should attend?

This course will be helpful for all frontline workers who are working or may work with young people on a one-to-one or group setting.
