Around 10% of all young people will experience anxiety related difficulties severe enough to have a significant affect upon their ability to live a normal life. By developing a greater understanding of the signs and symptoms of anxiety and identifying how anxiety impacts on young people's lives, we can develop skills and strategies to overcome this debilitating disorder.
To introduce participants to the signs and symptoms of anxiety and to develop practical skills in managing anxiety in children and young people
• Increased understanding of the signs and symptoms of anxiety related to children and young people.
• An awareness of the potential causes of anxiety disorder in children and young people.
• Develop practical skills of managing anxiety in children and young people.
This course is suitable for anyone who works closely with children and young people and will be of particular interest to school nurses, health visitors, teachers, support staff and nursery workers.
